Here are some pics of my latest mod - a genuine ALPINA 2002 cold-air intake system for the Weber DGV downdraft carb. It is super rare... At least, I have never seen another. I got it on eBay and was lucky to be able to snipe it for $746.85!

It uses a huge filter mounted down low where it can get cool air from just behind the left front grille.
You can see how the filter comes out in front of the radiator support where it can draw in cooler air. I figure this mod added at least 25 horsepower and 32 lb-ft of torque.
It is designed to work with the high-performance ALPINA-Weber 32/36 carb. I won that in another eBay auction for $1235 - also a great buy!
You can tell this is a Euro-market version because it is marked in grams instead of ounces.
