Our E-Mail List
Share tips, parts,
and stories with the other '02 nuts in our own neck of the woods!
By providing
a forum for folks specifically in our geographical area this list supports
an active community of '02 enthusiasts in the lower mainland.
How
to join:
To subscribe, send an
e-mail to 02bc@zeebuck.com with the word "subscribe" (without
the quotes) in the subject line. Or, just click here.
You will receive
a confirmation message in order to validate the e-mail address. Follow
the instructions in the message. Once subscribed, you may post messages
to the list by simply sending mail to 02bc@zeebuck.com. Messages are sent
out to list members usually within 10 minutes of being received by the
list server - assuming the server is up. Don't worry if your message does
not show up right away, especially overnight. It will be posted when the
server is next started.
Digest
Mode:
Getting too
many messages in your in-box? Switch your subscription to digest mode
by clicking here.
Individual postings to the e-mail list will be combined into a single
message and sent to you roughly once each day. You may still participate
in discussions as usual - be sure to change the subject and edit down
the quoted digest in your replies! To switch back to individual message
mode, click here.
Catching
Up:
Want to catch up on past discussions?
Send a message to 02bc@zeebuck.com with the subject line RESEND-XX where
XX is number of days back you wish to see. Or click the link to have the
last 2 days or
7 days worth of
postings sent to you.
Announcements-Only
Mailing List:
Too busy to read
through all the discussions on our main e-mail list, but still want to
be informed of local '02 events? Subscribe to the very low-traffic BC
'02 Owners Group Announce list where only "official" news of
upcoming events and other important info will be sent out. This list is
read-only - you cannot post to it. To subscribe, send an e-mail to 02bcannounce@zeebuck.com
with the word "subscribe" (without the quotes) in the subject
line. Or, just click here.
How
to unsubscribe:
To unsubscribe, send an e-mail to 02bc@zeebuck.com or 02bcannounce@zeebuck.com
with only the word UNSUBSCRIBE in the subject line. Or, click to unsubscribe
from 02bc here
or 02bcannounce here.
We'll miss you.
Problems?
Please describe
what's wrong and what you would like done about it in an e-mail to: 02bcmod@zeebuck.com
Reasons
for an e-mail based discussion group:
Since we are limited to local '02 owners, there is not a large volume
of messages. Having a web-based discussion board when there is little
traffic would be kind of boring since it would not be much fun to surf
over to a website to check for new messages if there weren't many new
messages! With an e-mail list, you can join and forget about it. When
somebody posts to the list, you will find the message in your e-mail inbox
whenever you would normally check your mail. If you have something to
say in response to a message, just click on reply, write your message,
edit the quoted text, and send your response to the list. Questions and
desperate pleas for help are likely to get answered much faster with e-mail
than using a web based system, making the list much more useful.
Mailing
List Etiquette:
This is a casual list. Generally, the only appropriate subject matter
for this group is stuff to do with our cars. However, some off-topic discussion
is allowable so long as it remains in the spirit of our main focus. There
are no hard and fast rules, but essentially, the code of conduct is not
to annoy the other list members and especially not the list administrator.
;-) To that end, please be sure to send your messages in plain text format,
and do not send attachments. Make sure you edit your replies to
include only the salient quoted text, and change the subject as appropriate.
To prevent mailbox overloads, there is a 100-line limit to messages posted
to the list - larger ones will be delayed, truncated, or deleted entirely.
If you want to share pictures or files, put them somewhere on the web
and include the URL in your post to the mailing list.
Anti-Spam
Policy:
Your e-mail address will not be sold or otherwise used by us for the purpose
of spam (unsolicited commercial e-mail). Your e-mail address will only
be visible to other members of this list, and then only if you post a
message. Should any members of this list harvest e-mail addresses for
the purpose of spam, they will be hunted down and beaten with a cracked
Guibo. Since this is a small list, the risk of spammers being present
is very low, anyway.
Anti
Virus Measures:
Risk of transmission is extremely low. All messages to the list are
scanned by an up-to-date AV program before being distributed. That said,
should an attachment still get by, don't run it!
